Thirteen ACA Health CO-OPs Have Collapsed

One of the Affordable Care Act’s key provisions is collapsing before our eyes.
Over half of the nonprofit CO-OP insurers created by the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) have announced they will shut their doors at the end of the year. Michigan’s recent announcement brings the total number of Obamacare CO-OP failures to thirteen. Despite their $2.4 billion price tag, all the CO-OP insurers created under the ACA are failing or already failed. Stay tuned.
