FP: More Americans Will Be Harmed by New Tariffs
Post by Freedom Partners
ARLINGTON, Va. – As the administration adopted higher tariffs on many imported goods from China today and began the process to impose even more, Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce rejected this approach.
Freedom Partners Executive Vice President Nathan Nascimento issued the following statement:
“China’s abusive trade practices like forced technology transfer and IP theft hurt American business entrepreneurs and their workers. But escalating the trade war will further harm Americans of all walks of life already feeling its impact. Whether it’s working families paying more to replace the washer and dryer, factory workers with lower incomes, or farmers who lost access to once-robust markets. It is wrong to double down on this failed approach. Our economy is strong today, but that doesn’t justify imposing new taxes on Americans.”
