Freedom Partners Applauds FCC’s Proposed Repeal of Counterproductive Net Neutrality Rules

Post by Freedom Partners

Arlington, VA — Freedom Partners applauds the efforts of Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai for pushing forward a plan to roll back Obama-era FCC internet regulations, more widely known as net neutrality.

Net neutrality rules expanded government regulation of the internet and those rules deterred investment, innovation, and raised costs for American consumers. The result was fewer and narrower internet options for Americans.

Freedom Partners Executive Vice President Nathan Nascimento issued the following statement:

“We applaud Chairman Pai’s efforts to roll back the FCC’s restrictive net neutrality rules, which imposed unnecessary and counterproductive regulations and rules on the internet. The internet is a great example of American innovation, and the best way to stall innovation is with heavy government interference. The plan now ensures the Internet will continue to be a valuable tool for consumers to innovate, create new products and offer new services at lower costs, which benefits all hard-working Americans and their families.”

Freedom Partners commends the plan to completely repeal net neutrality, which puts a stop to further regulations, rules and taxes, and clears the way for the Internet to continue to be an innovative tool for Americans to succeed.
