New Freedom Partners Digital Ad Touts Trade Amid USTR Meeting

Post by Freedom Partners

Arlington, VA – As part of a broader campaign to highlight the benefits of trade, Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce today launched a new digital ad targeted to attendees of the May 15 United States Trade Representative (USTR) meeting to hear public comments regarding new tariffs on a wide array of goods imported from China.

Freedom Partners Executive Vice President Nathan Nascimento issued the following statement:

“Trade opens doors to create jobs for workers, choices and affordable prices for consumers and opportunities for businesses. That simple truth is the message behind our ad and the continued focus of our pro-trade advocacy work. The opposite is true as well when it comes to tariffs and other trade barriers. They raise prices on consumers, harm job creation and introduce great uncertainty into markets.”

Freedom Partners, along with Americans for Prosperity and The LIBRE Initiative, also submitted formal comments to USTR on May 11 in opposition to new tariffs because of the resulting harm on U.S. consumers, workers and businesses.
